A rescue dog that is up for adoption is in desperate need of a new home, as most often they will have been surrendered by their owners because they couldn’t care for them any more. Sometimes rescue dogs are found living on the streets (like a stray) or are from puppy mills. 

Adopting a rescue dog means that you are saving a life and a life of another dog as you will be opening up another spot at that rescue shelter for a new dog to be saved.

There are many benefits to adopting a rescue dog, and some include:

Before jumping in and adopting a rescue dog, we recommend asking yourself a few questions before going straight in:

1. How much time do you have to spend with a dog?
2. Can you afford to look after a dog? 
3. If you are currently renting, does your landlord allow animals?
4. Do you have time to walk your dog every day?
5. Do you have time to train your dog? 

If you feel comfortable answering these questions, you are probably ready to start the dog adoption process. 

We have partnered with some of our local rescue charities such as Love4Dogs, and Stray2Me to ensure that the rescue dogs get the training and forever homes they desperately need. Our team carefully assess the dogs, expose them to normal life experiences, and re-train them to become suitable for home environments. 

If you would like to adopt a rescue dog from us, ideally you will be an experienced dog owner who understands dog body language and emotion. This is because not all rescue dogs for adoption are suitable to first-time dog owners. Instead, we would suggest to looking at our part trained or fully trained dogs for sale. We also recommend that you have a house large enough for them to live comfortably, access to a garden and have no children under the age of 15 in most cases.
